How do I secure my date?

Your booking is confirmed once the $500 non-refundable booking fee is received and event details are confirmed in writing. Until then the date stays informally held — we'll let you know if another enquiry comes in for the same date.

When is the balance due?

For bookings made more than 7 days out, the remaining balance is due 14 days before the event. For events within 7 days, full payment is required at the time of booking.

How long are quotes held for?

Quotes are valid for 14 days from issue. If your date is at risk before then, we'll flag it so you can decide whether to lock it in.

Are your prices GST inclusive?

Prestige Sound & Light is not currently registered for GST. All quoted prices are final — no GST is added or charged on invoices.

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Bank transfer (preferred) or card via Stripe. Card payments may attract a surcharge equal to the cost charged to us by the scheme — disclosed before payment. All prices in AUD.

What's the difference between Classic, Signature and Prestige?

Classic is the polished, complete package. Signature is the most popular — same core, extended coverage and enhanced lighting. Prestige is the elevated experience — for weddings, it's the only tier that includes ceremony and cocktail hour coverage. Why is pricing shown as 'from $X'?

Every event is quoted on venue, coverage time, guest count and add-ons. The 'from' price is the genuine starting point for that tier — your final quote may be the same or higher depending on what you need.

Can I add extra hours on the night?

Accepted Answer

Yes, subject to venue permission and noise restrictions. Extra hours are charged at the published rate for your tier and are payable on the night by card or transfer before performance continues.

Do you offer ceremony audio without the full Prestige Wedding package?

Ceremony audio is available as an add-on from $500 on Classic or Signature. Full ceremony plus cocktail hour coverage as one continuous run is exclusive to Prestige Wedding.

Do you provide MC support?

Accepted Answer

Yes — MC support is included on every wedding tier. Entrances, speeches, cake cut and key transitions are cued end to end by the same person running the music. Prestige extends MC support across ceremony and cocktail hour too.

What happens if equipment fails?

Every booking carries a documented backup-kit policy covering the critical signal chain — redundant audio output, spare cables, controller backup. If a fault on our equipment causes a material interruption, we either extend coverage at no charge (where the venue permits) or refund the affected portion. How early do you arrive to set up?

Standard bump-in is 90 minutes before guest arrival for reception-only bookings, and longer for Prestige Wedding (covering ceremony, cocktail hour and reception). Setup and pack-down don't count toward your coverage time.

Do you take requests?

Accepted Answer

We work from a must-play and do-not-play list you supply in advance, plus live reads of the floor. Requests on the night are fine — we'll work them in where they fit the energy and your direction.

Where do you travel?

Accepted Answer

Perth metro is included — bounded by Mandurah (south), Joondalup (north) and Mundaring (east). Extended metro is charged from $95. Regional travel (South West, Margaret River, Geraldton, Esperance) is quoted before booking.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes — $20 million public liability cover. Certificate of currency available to venues on request.

What do you need from the venue?

Accepted Answer

Safe, stable ground for equipment; sheltered cover for outdoor events; clear access for bump-in and pack-down; and a stable mains-power source within reasonable cable distance of the performance area.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

One reschedule may be requested in writing. Subject to availability, the original booking fee transfers to the new date. New dates may attract updated pricing or peak-season loading. See clause 8 of the Terms for the full detail.

What if I have to cancel?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations must be in writing. More than 60 days out: booking fee retained only. 15–60 days: booking fee plus 50% of remaining balance. 14 days or less: 100% of total booking value. See Terms clause 7.

What if you have to cancel?

Accepted Answer

If we cancel for any reason other than client breach, force majeure or unsafe conditions, all payments — including the booking fee — are refunded in full within 14 days. In the rare case of illness or emergency, we provide a vetted equally qualified replacement DJ at no extra cost.
